Meet Jamie

owner, lead designer

Hi there! I'm Jamie, the founder and resident designer at JKI. For as long as I can remember, I have been creatively driven – inspired to create beautiful moments, spaces, and experiences that bring joy to the people I love.  

Like many, my path to interior design was not linear. Although I was always passionate about creativity and design, I focused on getting my business degree, and didn't think twice about jumping into the corporate world after graduation. I had great experiences over the years, which helped me to learn a lot about business as well as myself, but I always felt I was looking for more. My longing for creativity became even more clear when I landed a position for a leading online home goods retailer. My role in sourcing products and styling mood boards for photography, social and web content was my first taste of working in the design industry. It was then that I realized my true passion was designing beautiful spaces. 

I took a step back from the corporate world to start our family, and after having my two wonderful children, Beckham (4) and Blake (2), I couldn’t wait to finally start my own business in the world of design. What started as helping friends and family design spaces of their own, quickly evolved into a business that continues to grow organically and inspire me everyday.

JKI is a design firm focused on creating spaces that celebrate sophistication, beauty and a sense of place. With each new project I fall more in love with interior design and the process of turning a client’s dream into a reality.
